Hailey's birthday is all about water this year. She is so excited to be 8, and for all the things that come with that age. We originally decided not to have a friend party this year, but, I caved and decided to let her have a sleepover even. It was lots of fun for her and 6 of her friends.
Instead of just water, we decided to add fish into the mix. It is a little cold now for outside water activities, so we had to do all the fun stuff inside. We had a fishing pond where they could get prizes, played get the fish in the pond (a.k.a. pin the tail on the donkey), made fish masks, and had a fishbowl cake.
Come Saturday night, Hailey was exhausted. She and and everyone else had a really great time though. I love seeing my kids happy
....it makes me happy too.
Well, that, and parties are fun!

Looks like it was fun!! How did you do the cake?!?! You're SOO creative...I'm gonna attempt an Elmo cake?!?! YIKES!!! What did you feed them and give them to drink?? The girl behind Hailey looks a little "drunk"...in the blowing out the candles picture!! ha ha ha...just kidding!! :)
