School Started!!!!

Whew!!! School has again started for the kids. I think I am more relieved than anyone in this house. It got a little hard to handle there at the end...but I am sure all you moms can agree with me on that one.

Hailey was SOOOOO excited she could hardly contain her excitement the night before, and then the morning came and she definitely couldn't keep it in. I am really grateful she is so excited about school.

I asked Hailey what kind of an outfit she would like to wear on her first day of school...she thought for a minute...then said, "I want a shirt that has a butterfly on it, and grass, and trees, and flowers...oh, and maybe a bird, a rainbow, and a meadow." I replied, "I don't know if we can find a shirt with all of those things on it, that seems like a pretty specific order."

Well, I was in Children's Place with a friend one day, and lo and behold, they had her shirt. I could not believe it, I had to call her right away to tell her I found her shirt. She didn't doubt for a second that it was out there. Wow!!! She was pretty excited.

Gabe's night before and his morning weren't as filled with excitement as Hailey's were. So, we only could get one picture of him on the 1st day, but the 2nd day picture went much better.

He was excited to come home and tell me he had met a new friend at school. He told me that when they were in the bathroom at the same time, they would turn on the sink, and the toilet would flush. It was some freak plumbing issue, but they thought it was hilarious, and became friends after that. Seems like an appropriate way for Gabe to make a friend....laughing hysterically. Silly kid!!

Whew!!! I think this will work out after all. It'll just take a little getting used to, that's all.
