We had lots of fun for Easter this year, it started with an Egg hunt on the 8th of March at the church. The primary presidency put it on, and it was really fun for the kids, little crafts, plastic eggs filled with candy, and even a little Easter lesson to remember the true meaning of Easter. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera there.
Then, on the 20th, we got together with Sarah, Ellie, Ben and Lilly to color hard boiled eggs. That was lots of messy fun....but an adventure in and of itself. I lost count on the dropped and broken eggs....but the beautifully colored and decorated ones, glittered and sparkled, number in the 40's.
The kids did a really great job with them.

Then on the 22nd, we got together again with Sarah, Marc and their kids, along with Sarah's brother, Matthew, and his wife and daughter, Kelly and Rachel for another "hunting of the eggs". This time there were real and plastic eggs!
Check out the bunnies hiding them....silly guys! Hippity Hoppity!

Afterwards, we ate some lunch, you know, egg salad sandwiches, deviled eggs and anything else we could think of that was eggy. It was yummy!
Sunday, we decided to go to the park since it was such a beautiful day! It must have hit 63 degrees or so, it was really nice and warm. We took our bunny, Jinks, with us, and Gabe was telling passer-bys that we had caught the Easter Bunny.
It was funny watching the looks on their faces.

The bunny was a little nervous about being out in the open of the park...so he took refuge anywhere he could find. He really liked Jerry's pant leg...it was hard to get him out. When Jerry stood up, Jinks would climb up farther in. It was hilarious.

It was a beautiful day to spend some quality time together at the park.

The kids did some holiday crafts, and games....and then we were all tired out and ready to go home. What a fun Saturday!

We talked the Easter Bunny into stopping by our house on Monday, that way we were able to think about Jesus and his resurrection more clearly on Sunday.
Gabe was so cute asking on Saturday, " Is the Easter Bunny going to hide eggs tomorrow at our house?"
I said, " I don't know, why?"
He replied, " Well, I am wondering, because, then it would be hard to keep the Sabbath Day holy. "
Sweet, sweet Gabe! I love that boy!

So cute! Thanks for all your help with the fun Easter activities! We had so much fun!
(Ellie keeps asking if we have to wait until next year to that again!)
So glad you had such a wonderful Easter. We miss you soooo much and wish we could have had an egg hunt with you. The kids are really growing up. They look so much older to me. We are thinking we will come to Utah for Christmas this year. Sounds far away but it will be here before we know it!!
Love, Katie and family
